Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders

Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB) was incorporated in Sept 27, 2019. TCB provides residential and commercial construction services throughout the Tłı̨chǫ region and the Northwest Territories.

Current projects include:

  • New Behchokǫ̀ Culture Centre (approximately 8000 square foot building; round structure with very large windows affording a panoramic view of Marion Lake) View Photos

  • New Gamètì Motel (similar in design to the Whatì Motel and situated on a beautiful property with a breathtaking view of the lake)

  • Major renovations in the Khon Go Cho SportsplexBehchokǫ̀, NT (creating a new fitness area overlooking the gymnasium, along with new office and retail space) View Photos

  • Exterior retrofit of the RCMP duplex residence in Behchokǫ̀, NT

  • Numerous housing projects in Behchokǫ̀ and Gamètì, NT

TIC is pleased to announce the solar project funding is complete! Together with Solvest Inc., STLLR Gold, and CanNor, we will be purchasing and supplying the equipment for this two year solar installation project to power Colomac’s camp. Once complete, this collaborative partnership will have helped reduce diesel use by about 51 000 L annually and kept 138 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from entering the air!

Projects

Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders is the contractor for the new Cultural Centre that is located in Behchokǫ̀, NWT, right beside Marian Lake. The building gross area is approximately 1504 m2. The facility is intended to hold local gatherings, events, and activities. The main feature is the drum-shaped Cultural Hall with windows all around to allow natural lighting to enter, and large windows that overlook the lake.
