Campground Supervisor – North Arm Territorial Park (TAL)
Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd. (TAL) is responsible for the Operations & Maintenance Services at North Arm Territorial Park for 2025, under the Government of the Northwest Territories/NWT Parks. This contract enhances our existing tourism offerings within the division and creates new employment prospects for nearby residents.
We are looking for in-resident Campground Supervisor(s) to join our team from mid-May to mid-September. The Campground Supervisor for North Arm Territorial Park is responsible for the operations & maintenance of 15-powered sites in the campground, programming, and facilities, and is key to the success of its operations. We are committed to supporting dedicated staff on-site 24/7, on rotation, who are not only responsible for revenues to be collected but ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable stay for guests are amongst the top priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend all training sessions and preparations for the opening of the campground.
- Adhere to safety plans and procedures set out by the Government of the Northwest Territories and Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd.
- Day-to-day operations to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for guests and effective manner in accordance with the description of services and scope of work and services outlined by Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd. and the Government of the Northwest Territories.
- Accepting and keeping an accurate track of bookings, deposits, and payments.
- Collaborating with the Director of Tourism to integrate innovative ideas and strategies for service offerings to guests.
- Addressing issues, concerns, and complaints related to the operations from guests, stakeholders, and partners.
- Maintaining excellent customer relations and quality services.
- Ensuring compliance with all governing regulations.
- Following, applying, and adhering to TIC’s established policies and procedures and other stakeholders, such as the Government of the Northwest Territories.
- Procurement and distribution of firewood for the park.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain productivity.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), QuickBooks and Point of Sale systems.
Requirements:
- Valid First Aid/CPR with defibrillator training mandatory or willingness to work towards certification prior to employment.
- WHMIS Certificate or willingness to work towards certification.
- Provide a Criminal Record History.
- Reside at the North Arm Campground in staff accommodations for the duration of the set work rotation, which can be negotiated for the right candidate.
