Scope of Work completed:
- Tłı̨chǫ Engineering & Environmental Services crew always consisted of Tłı̨chǫ community members. TEES was responsible for mob/demob of equipment to be used for the remediation study at Rayrock, Rex and Sun Main. This included a mini-excavator, Zodiac boats/ motors, generators, quads and trailers, chainsaws, brush-cutters, tools, construction material and hardware. These items were staged for delivery to site by helicopter or float plane.
- TEES supplied an operator for using the mini-excavator to dig test pits as instructed thru-out the area of remediation.
- The TEES crew was responsible to design and building a floating barge that was used for taking cores from the various waterways. During the coring exercise, the TEES crews cut and retrieved the samples.
- The crew cut and cleared trails, work areas and helicopter sites with chainsaws and brush-cutters. The fuel containment site was moved, with new berm system installed for storing the fuel drums.
- TEES supplied the boat operator during water sampling. The crew also manufactured the water testing sensor containers, this was to seal the electronics.
- The TEES trained wildlife monitors, kept watch over all the crews that were working at the various sites. The monitors also assisted with any physical duties that were required.
- Thru-out the project TEES had an Environmental Assistant working with the various technicians, scientists and archaeologists on site.
- TEES crew placed and installed silk curtains and fences in designated areas of possible water movement for sampling purchases.
