Tłı̨chǫ Equipment Ltd. (TEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation and is responsible for the management of all light vehicles and heavy civil equipment used in support of business, construction, and remediation activities. TEL has a team of mechanics that provide safe and professional services to the TIC group of companies and clients within the Northwest Territories.

 

TEL owns approximately 250 equipment pieces including:

  • Generators, pumps, and light towers
  • Light vehicles, service vehicles and trailers
  • Excavators, bulldozers, loaders, rock trucks and graders
  • Crushing equipment
  • Snowcats, plow trucks, water trucks and winter road construction equipment

 

We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Parts Inventory/Fuel Program Coordinator.  This position is temporary (with possiblity for extension to full time), and is located in Behchoko, NT.  

 

Scope

Reporting to TEL’s Asset/Fleet Manager, the Parts Inventory/Fuel Program Coordinator will be responsible for overall fuel services operations/administration in Behchoko, NT and will contribute to parts ordering, tracking and inventory control to support TEL's asset/fleet maintenance program. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinating Fuel Truck daily operations/dispatching fuel truck for deliveries
  • Fuel delivery scheduling
  • Fuel reporting/reconciliations
  • Fuel ordering/purchasing
  • Submitting fuel reports to Finance for invoicing
  • Maintenance scheduling
  • Equipment scheduling
  • Equipment inspection auditing/follow up
  • Entering and submitting staff timesheets electronically
  • Taking payments through debit/credit machine 
  • Entering into and maintaining parts inventory/asset tracking database
  • Placing parts orders with suppliers upon request to ensure maintenance/repair schedules/needs are met
  • Monitoring progress of purchase orders and expediting open orders to meet requirments 
  • Reception duties
  • Other duties as required for the effective and efficient operations of the business unit.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of and relevant databases and accounting software
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Class 5 Driver's License required

 

Typically, the above would be attained by:

A Business Administration certificate/diploma with a minimum of 2 years relevant administration experience. Experience with inventory control and/or fuel distribution programs considered strong assets.  The ability to speak and/or understand the Tlicho language is ideal for this role.
