We are currently recruiting for the following temporary position located at the Diavik Diamond Mine Site:

 

LEO1 (Crane/Equipment Operator)

 

As part of the overall Fixed Plant Service Operations Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating a 777 Manitowoc Crane
  • Operating Grove RT Cranes, 15 ton, 50 ton, 75 ton and 90 ton
  • Operating 622, 930 and 966 Loaders, and Tractor Trailer
  • Operating other heavy equipment as required

 

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Experience operating a 777 Manitowoc Crane or its equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

 

Minimum Qualifications (equivalencies will be considered):

  • Interprovincial crane operator certification required.
  • Minimum five years experience working as a Crane Operator in a heavy industrial setting, preferably mining or mineral processing. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

These positions require individuals with a proven ability to work in a cross cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.  All candidates must be open and flexible to perform other duties as required.

 

This temporary position is site based with a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, day shift and night shift, rotational schedule.  And, successful security and medical clearances are required (confirmed criminal record history, medical and drug & alcohol tests). Tlicho Logistics pays a competitive remuneration package.

 

For remote camp based purposes, our client requires proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved for use in Canada or applying for an exemption for the employer to consider based on a protected ground (e.g., disability, religion).
