It looks like the fluffy white stuff called snow is here to stay for another winter. As northerners, we know that the cold is part of our lives—both at work and at play—and we take pride in adapting to it. Working outside in winter can be a tough and dirty job, but with preparation and awareness, it doesn’t have to be a dangerous one.
Back injuries can happen all too easily in the workplace — whether you’re unloading materials, stacking boxes, or simply helping move equipment. What might seem like a simple task can lead to a painful strain or serious injury if not done correctly. Every year, thousands of workers across industries experience back-related injuries caused by improper lifting. These injuries not only cause pain and missed workdays but can also have long-term effects on mobility and quality of life.
With the change of the seasons happening I am sure all of you except those lucky ones with a garage will soon notice the thick white stuff known as frost on your windshield and as we know snow could be on the ground just as easy this time of year. Since Winter driving is the most difficult driving season. Snow and ice make even the most routine drive dangerous.

Slips, trips and falls are one of the most common causes of workplace injuries. They can occur anywhere whether you are in the production area or in the office. Office workers are injured by falls, fires and electric shock. They receive cuts and bruises from office tools and furniture. They develop long-term injuries from repetitive work such as keyboarding.
As the weather changes, the flu and cold season is upon us. The influenza virus affects nearly everyone at some point in their lives—most people will experience it multiple times. While many recover with rest and care, the flu can be especially dangerous for individuals with weakened immune systems and adults over the age of 65.
