Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Employment Status: One-Year Part-Time Term (with potential for renewal)

Position Summary

Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd. (TAL), an Indigenous-owned company within the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation, is seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Logistics Coordinator (Security Cleared) to support secure transportation and logistical operations between Yellowknife and Whatì, NT.

Based in Yellowknife, this role is responsible for the timely and secure transport of federal mail and small freight in fulfillment of TAL’s contract with Canada Post. The position requires enhanced federal security clearance and a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.

The role involves scheduled trips between Yellowknife and Whatì three times per week, in addition to supporting operational and tourism-related logistics as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles between Yellowknife and Whatì
  • Securely transport and deliver federal mail and small freight in accordance with chain-of-custody protocols
  • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel records, and trip documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal security requirements, road safety regulations, and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with operations and dispatch personnel
  • Assist with loading and unloading mail and freight
  • Report vehicle concerns, safety issues, or incidents promptly

Additional Operational Support May Include:

  • Tourism guest services support
  • Equipment transport and supply runs
  • Assistance with operational logistics as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid NWT Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Eligible for and able to obtain Enhanced Federal Security Clearance
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of northern road conditions considered an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions

  • One-year term position with potential for extension based on performance and operational needs
  • Based in Yellowknife, NT
  • Extended periods of driving
