With the weather changing the flu and cold season is upon us. The flu affects most people at some point in their lives. Almost everybody experiences the flu multiple times in their lifetime. It is most deadly to those individuals with a weak immune system and those older than 65 years old. Some flu seasons are worse than others. The flu virus is often most active beginning in late October and can last as late as early May.

Today, I’d like to bring attention to a crucial topic: our workplace violence and harassment policy and where to find it.

Workplace violence is the exercise of physical force by a person against a worker in a workplace that causes or could cause physical injury. It includes any attempt or threat to exercise physical force. A threat can be a statement or behaviour that a worker reasonably interprets as intimidating.
