The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for providing a range of accounting and bookkeeping functions to the Tlicho Investment Corporation (TIC) and its subsidiaries, to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processing of financial, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.

 

TIC is pleased to announce the solar project funding is complete! Together with Solvest Inc., STLLR Gold, and CanNor, we will be purchasing and supplying the equipment for this two year solar installation project to power Colomac’s camp. Once complete, this collaborative partnership will have helped reduce diesel use by about 51 000 L annually and kept 138 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from entering the air!

Yesterday’s meeting at the NWT Legislature to discuss the future of business included Paul Gruner from the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC), Mark Lewis from Det’on Cho Management, Leigh-Anne Palter from Denesoline Corporation, Marc Whitford from North Slave Métis Association, and Nigel Wodrich, advisor at the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly.

Housekeeping is the number one problem on construction sites. In fact, a large number of workplace incidents can be attributed to poor housekeeping. Poor housekeeping contributes to incidents by creating hazards that can cause injuries. Other hazards may be taken for granted if the sight of paper, debris, clutter and spills are accepted on the worksite.

Tłıchǫ Engineering & Environmental Services Ltd. (TEES) is working in collaboration with the Tłıchǫ Government & Aurora College to provide training to Tłıchǫ Residents with through an 11-week Introduction to Heavy Equipment Operator and work placement program, located in Whatì.
