Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation Accepts MAX Award for Economic Leadership at the 2024 Geosciences Conference
(Yellowknife - November 29, 2024.) Promoting Excellence in Mining and Exploration: last night’s MAX Awards recognized Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation for their economic leadership. Grand Chief Jackson Lafferty and Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) Board of Directors Chairperson Benjamin Scott, along with TIC Vice President of Community Operations and Labour, Betty-Anne Nickerson accepted the Economic Leadership Award at the 2024 Geosciences Conference.
In receiving the award for Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation companies, TIC acknowledged the contributions of decades of mining and economic development in the region and shared TIC’s message to “be bold” in future resource and mining development opportunities in the Northwest Territories.
TIC leadership’s comments included reflections on prosperity and possibilities and direct messages for government and resource industry representatives attending the Geoscience Forum. Mr. Scott noted, “We’ve been growing our capacity, developing our people and companies, and we’re ready to do business!”
